Sounds delicious but why should we and how do we use the latest Pantone colour of the year in our interiors?
Who is Pantone?
The foremost colour institute that forecasts global colour trends.
Colour experts at the Pantone Colour Institute comb the world looking for new colour influences from the entertainment industry to fashion, travel destinations and socio-economic conditions.
Why do we want the colour of the year in our homes?
“PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. A gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul”.
When you find yourself searching for cozy moments, let PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz inspire you.
How do we use the colour of the year?
Colours from nature never date and never look out of place especially if you use them together as Nature does. Think Alstroemerias, Roses, Carnations as well as a November sunset.
If you have recently decorated an interior, you will know that monochrome is the current classic and Peach tones are perfect with this scheme.
Drapery
The current season of drapery is strong on Linen and Linen look fabrics and they look stunning in the peach tones.
Consider James Dunlop, Laconia Air in Ballet . It is just as it describes, an aerated Linen that floats deliciously like a peach sorbet.
Perhaps Maurice Kain, Kalani and Malia with hints of peach in the fabulous tropic print design will capture your imagination.
One of my favourites is the Hemptech Arborea in Shell, a winter white base tone Linen with a delicate print in a shell pink.

Upholstery
There is also a strong range of upholsteries that feature Peach, such as Eternal in Blush from James Dunlop, Chatham from Charles Parsons – A check in sherbet tones and Baltic from Porter and Stone that has lots of tasty peach tones to choose from.
Embellishments
If you’re not quite ready for full peach drapery or an entire Lounge suit then consider an occasional chair or a set of cushions. Perhaps a rug or a wall hanging. Using a triangle of colour you can subtly add a hint of cosy.
