With 42 years in business Frazerhurst has certainly seen the evolution of window dressings.
The introduction of venetian and vertical blinds in the 80's were revolutionary for window treatments and cost effective, a definite swing away from the ornate fabrics and styles of the 70's.
Colours and patterning throughout the decades also changed radically as well as the swing towards Echo friendly materials. Minimizing our carbon footprint.
Then along came shutters (plantation style) and sleek roller blinds in the early 2000's which are still popular in 2025. Clean and minimal in design.
Now in the 2020's we are layering our window treatments with combinations of sheers, drapes and blinds.
One of the biggest changes has been the introduction of Smart Home technology. You can now choose automated and motorized window coverings which is revolutionary.
Function and Form are actually working in unison in the 21st century.
